I’m always interested in ways that you can use your airline miles for non-flight redemptions as there are times that you aren’t going to be able to fly and redeem. Some people may also just want to use their miles in the most convenient way possible. One of these ways is to convert your Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles to TapForMore points which is a PAssion Card scheme. But What is a KrisFlyer Mile Worth if You Convert to TapForMore Points?
So What is a KrisFlyer Mile Worth if You Convert to TapForMore Points?
The great thing about the partnership between TapForMore and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer is that this allows you to use your points at Cold Storage, Market Place, Jasons, Giant and Guardian under the Dairy Farm Singapore Group – which if you live in Singapore is going to be a very easy and convenient way to redeem your Miles.
But as with most non-flight redemptions the value is pretty poor. When you convert your KrisFlyer Miles you’ll receive 1.1 TapForMore points for each KrisFlyer mile. These TapForMore points can then be redeemed at a ratio of 150 points to $1.
This gives you a value of 0.74 cents per mile which is worse than the poorest redemptions with Singapore Airlines including redeeming with Scoot and Tigerair (0.95 cents) or using the Pay With KrisFlyer Miles option (1 cent)
As I said I would really only use this option if you’ve got some KrisFlyer miles expiring or if you are looking for an easy way to redeem your miles. For more information on converting KrisFlyer Miles for TapForMore check out the Singpaore Airlines site here:
We’ve also looked at how you earn KrisFlyer miles through TapForMore which you can see here:
