UOB has launched a new PRVI Miles card, this time around a Visa branded version.
About the UOB PRVI Miles Visa Credit Card
The UOB PRVI Miles Visa Credit Card is issued by UOB in Singapore and is available to anyone earning $S80,000 and above.
The card earns in UNI$ which can be converted into either Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer or Asia Miles. This is the Visa version but there are also Mastercard and American Express version too, for those check out the links below:
Sign-Up Bonus – Update October
There is a small sign-up promotion until the end of February available with 8,000 miles up for grabs, however the conditions are very limiting – see this article for details:
However there are other ones available, check out this list for details:
The Visa version of the card is very limited in terms of extra benefits. The American Express version comes with a 20,000 Miles annual bonus (with minimum spend), and the Mastercard version comes with SPG Gold (after one stay). The Visa does include travel insurance and discounts at Agoda.
What is the Annual Fee?
The annual fee is the same as the other two cards at $S256.80 which is waived for the first year unless you take the bonus of 15,000 Miles.
Bonus for Renewal?
This credit card has no bonus for renewing the card, for cards with renewal bonuses check out this article:
What Do You Earn per $1?
All three of the PRVI Miles credit cards have the same earning rates and now have the top earning rates for Singapore Airlines, Silk Air and KrisShop (without any bonuses).
- Earn 3 miles on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir & KrisShop
- Earn 2.4 miles for every S$1 spent overseas
- Earn 1.4 miles for every S$1 spent locally
Note that all the earning rates are in blocks of $S5 so you can do better with other cards. In particular for local spend I would consider the ANZ Travel Visa Signature credit card as it has the same rate and earns on a $S1 basis:
You can do better with combinations of different credit cards but this Visa is a good option for general spending.
What is a Point Worth?
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles can be worth a varying amount so if you are looking at this particular card versus a credit card that offers cashback then you should have a look through these articles to help inform you decision:

- Upgrading Using Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles – The Best Value?
- Sign up bonus – 1/10
- On-going Spend – 8/10
This Visa card has few benefits for sign-up it’s only good for ongoing spend. If you are looking for better sign-up bonuses then check out this article:
The earning rates are the same as the Amex and Mastercard versions, but still 8/10 is given because of the general good rates for whatever type of spend. The added bonus is that this is a Visa based card and hence the number of merchants that can be used will be better than the American Express card.
