I came across a very interesting read that a colleague had shared on Linkedin by “PeterSmart” who is a designer based in Europe. He goes around solving problems with design, and his most recent one as quite topical!
The problem was with boarding passes not being user friendly, they are bulky, bigger than the standard passport size, and often completely nonsensical in terms of the information they provide with lots of strange and interesting numbers/codes. Is the below familiar to you when you travel?
In addition to that they are not the same from one to the next – a Lufthansa boarding pass is different from a Singapore Airlines pass and so on.
Have a look at his article which is well written and provides some pretty interesting solutions to the problem at hand – he does manage to come up a design that is sleek, simple and much more user friendly.

If there are any other interesting sites that you know about and would be good to share then please let me know, I’d be happy to post about them.
