Malaysia Airlines has launched a promotion sale to celebrate its 42nd Anniversary with some great fares available on flights.
A Little Malaysia Airlines History
Malaysia Airlines can trace its history back to 1937 with the commencement of a service between Penang and Singapore under Malayan Airways Limited (MAL). With the formation of Malaysia in 1963 the airline changed name to Malaysia Airlines Limited and grew quickly. Once Singapore separated from Malaysia the airline changed to a bi-national airline with a new name called Malaysia-Singapore Airlines. In 1972 the airlines parted ways and Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) was formed and took to the skies on 1st October 1972, it was then rebranded as Malaysia Airlines and has been serving as the national carrier for the last 42 years.
