This is just a heads up to remind you that the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer promotion with the Economist is ending in a few days on the 31st and it’s your last chance to get up to 12,000 KrisFlyer Miles.
I wrote about the promotion back in October when it was launched and I have actually taken up the offer myself, and earned 8,000 KrisFlyer miles as well as enjoy the subscription.
The Economist Subscription KrisFlyer Offer
There are two offers available for Singapore based KrisFlyer members:
- Earn 8,000 KrisFlyer Miles for a 1 Year subscription (S$438)
- Earn 12,000 KrisFlyer Miles for a 3 Year Subscription (S$1117)
I went for the one year subscription mainly because although read the Economist I haven’t had a subscription before, and the 3 year seemed like a bit of a gamble. The other consideration was that there don’t seem to be any terms preventing you from signing up again after the one year is up giving you some opportunity to earn multiple bonuses – so far in 2014 at least there have been a couple of other KrisFlyer earning Economist promotions.
It’s not worth signing up just for the miles as the cost is 5.4 cents per mile (SGD) and you’d be better off either buying directly through KrisFlyer (5 cents) or purchasing through Starwood Preferred Guest (3.5) – see here as to why.
Note that KrisFlyer miles may take up to 8 weeks to end up in your account.
