About the Partnership
This is a growing trend in the industry of close partnerships and alliances across hotels, car hire and airlines. This one is between Emirates and their loyalty programme Skywards and Starwood Hotels – Starwood Preferred Guest. Basically it means you’ll be able to earn miles and points when you stay and fly with both of the programme partners. This is a summary of the benefits:

How to Earn Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles for You Emirates Flights
Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) is one of the best hotel loyalty programmes out there because of its flexibility and excellent transfer rates to a number of airline frequent flyer schemes – this includes Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. Transfers to KrisFlyer are on a 1 to 1 basis and if you transfer a chunk of 20,000 Starpoints SPG will give you a bonus of 5,000 Miles, this incidentally makes it the cheapest way to buy KrisFlyer Miles see here.
If you are Gold or Platinum with SPG you’ll earn Starpoints on Emirates flight bookings at a rate of 1 Starpoint per $1USD. These Starpoints can then be transferred over to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. Any Starpoints earned are in addition to the usual Skywards Miles you usually earn.
You have to setup the link between Skywards and SPG 48 hours prior to booking so I suggest that you get it done and it’ll just happen next time you book, the link is below:
If you aren’t a SPG Gold member then you can get the benefits by signing up for a World Mastercard if you’re based in Asia Pacific – check out our post on how here.
