I’m always on the lookout for useful resources and I posted recently on the very useful Singapore Credit Cards reference table, this post highlights another useful resource for those transferring points into Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer.
Which Partners Transfer to KrisFlyer Miles?
On Flyertalk a site I that I recommend on of the key reference posts is on the time taken to transfer points/rewards to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. There are many different reward and loyalty schemes that you can transfer points from to KrisFlyer, they are broadly split into Banking and Finance, Hotels and Other Partners. To maximize your earning potential with Singapore Airlines I suggest that you take a bit of time to learn the earning partners.
Why Is It Useful to Know?
It’s useful to know the transfer times to KrisFlyer in case you are looking to make a redemption and have several options for transfers. Generally award space is limited and you might want to pick quicker options to transfer if the redemption is available but you need to increase your balance – so to minimize the risk that the award space disappears. The other reason for me is if you need to top-up your miles by purchasing KrisFlyer miles. Starwood is the cheapest way to purchase miles directly – but those transfers do take up to a week.

I’ll just add on a couple of notes here. Firstly, make sure that you are keeping an eye on your transfers as sometimes they get lost in the various systems that are in place. Secondly, the stated transfer times are often a lot longer than these durations e.g. for Starwood it’s 14 days. Also if you are transferring for a redemption be aware that by the time your points have transferred into KrisFlyer miles your preferred award may no longer be available.
This is again a crowdsourcing effort so if you have transferred recently then either leave a post on Flyertalk or leave a comment below and I’ll comment for you.
State the number of days it took as well as post the DAY on which you initiated transfer, and the DAY it posted, as well as whether it was online or on phone redemption to help with understanding the process used.
