Singapore Airlines is currently offering a bonus of 5,000 KrisFlyer Miles for members and flights in Premium Economy out of Bangkok.
Earning the 5,000 Bonus KrisFlyer Miles
This deal is a little restrictive and comes with the following conditions:
- KrisFlyer members must be based in Thailand (address on the system)
- Departure from Bangkok only
- Booking before 30th November
- Travel by 31st March 2016
- Returns only
There are a number of destinations available, and availability will depend on how well Singapore Airlines does with the roll-out following the delay that they’ve experienced. This is the list of destinations:
Auckland, Beijing, Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, Mumbai, Munich, New Delhi, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo and Zurich. For more on the launch and the product check out my original post about it:
Prices start from 34,000 Bhat (around $S1350) to Tokyo and Seoul.
You’ll earn the 5,000 miles in addition to those that you’d usually earn for the flight. Premium Economy fares attract a rate of 110% of the miles flown.
Strangely on the Singapore Airlines website it states that the promotional fares are upgradeable even though upgrades from Premium Economy to Business Class are not yet available. I’m not entirely sure whether they are or aren’t!

Worth a Mileage Run?
I don’t think it’s worth a mileage run unless you already have plans for flights. The additional 5,000 KrisFlyer Miles under my valuation are only worth around $S100 (check here as to why)
I haven’t tried the new Premium Economy so if you have I’d be interested to hear what you thought
